In 3 days we raised $1,467.97 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society with our Pennies for Patients fundraiser. This is the breakdown of the coinage we counted Friday:
Quarters – 1,373.00
Dimes – 2,662
Nickels – 3,307
Pennies – 10,817
We had may “paper” donations in 1’s, 5’s, 10’, and 20’s. This amount was raised in only 3 days! We will continue collecting this week. Thank you for your support!!!
Thank you to all those who have registered for next school year. It helps have an accurate count for our enrollment. I will be making phone calls this week to speak to those who have not. I look forward to speaking with you.
We are so proud of our Science Olympiad students. They went to Nicholls State to compete for the very first time. We sent students in our 5th, 6th and 7th grades who competed against students in grades 5-9. Many of our Cubs took the top 3 places and placed 5th out of 14th in the overall competition. The team qualified to go to State! For their first time and not knowing what to expect, they did a fantastic job. Thank you to the parents who served as coaches; Brandon Deshotel, Danielle Blanchard, Erin Hebert, Sid Pujol, Lloyd Giroir, Leroy Blanchard, Mitch Blanchard and Bobby Guillot.
Our Pee Wee basketball night was so much fun! Everyone played hard and showed excellent sportsmanship. Thank you to Ms. Missy for organizing this event, Ms. Lisa for running the concessions and the parents who help make this night a success.
Students in grades 3-8 will be taking the practice ACT Aspire assessments this week. This is a practice rest to help prepare them for the ACT Aspire Summative test which will be given the week of 4/16. We will talk more about that test in days ahead.
“If I do not that something is wrong, I cannot try to fix it.” You’ll hear that many times from me. If you have a concern, issue or anything you question, please call or email me. I am happy to listen and do the best I can to remedy the situation.
Have a great week!
