So much has been happening on the SES campus since we left for the holiday break:
· The cafeteria improvements are now complete. Please stop in and take a look. You will also see that there has been drainage installed in the area right outside the entrance. This will help keep that area dry when it rains. Your children have definitely noticed and love the change!
· There has been a great deal of cleaning going on. Closets and storage areas were gone through, things put away, the old gym stage is definitely beginning to be “less full”, classrooms cleaned. Administrative offices were changed.
· Ms. Audrey became engaged! Congratulations to her.
· We are happy to have Ms. Vee as the newest member of the SES community. She will teach the Intermediate grade students ELA. We welcome her. I have already seen students excited in her classes to play Baseball Spelling.
Thank you to those parents who came to see Ms. Bethany yesterday. She had a full schedule. We will now be able to group students according to their needs which will also determine the kind of teacher and assistant we will hire. If there is anyone who could not attend yesterday but wishes to speak with her, you may contact me or her directly at firstname.lastname@example.org
We now enter into our third nine and a half weeks. Hard to believe we are already there! I handed each student their report card today and was happy to see improvements on many of them. Thank you for your support every day. I know how hard you work with your children to help us with their learning.
And to help celebrate our learning we will be having a 100 day of school dress down day sponsored by the HSA! All students are invited to dress down that day. You will be receiving a flyer with the particulars very shortly.
And you welcome to attend:
St. Michael High School is excited to host a nationally recognized speaker on Suicide Awareness and Prevention. Kevin Hines is one of the few people ever to survive a suicide attempt by jumping off the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco. Kevin now travels the country and is an advocate for suicide awareness and prevention. We are excited to be hosting a middle school student and parent night in the St. Michael Gym at 6:30pm on Wednesday, February 28, 2018. All Diocesan middle school students and their parents/guardians are invited to attend this presentation. Because of the nature of the presentation, middle school students must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Parent resources will be provided to all those that attend and sign in and provide their email address.
