Weekly Notes February 13, 2017

Carline Reminder - The bell rings at 7:30 a.m.  Expect to wait a few minutes in line if you arrive after 7:20.  Please give yourself enough time in the morning to have your children unloaded by the 7:30 bell when morning prayer begins. Thanks for your cooperation!

2017-18 Registration- for the 2017-18 school year begins today. Registration will be February 13-February 20.  Please send in registration before February 20 to avoid any late fees.   Please contact the school if you have any questions.

 Drama Practice- Monday-Thursday 2:00-4:00.

Volleyball Practice- Monday-5th/6th grades-4:30-6:00; Tuesday-8th grade 4:30-6:00; 5th/6th grades 6:00-7:30; Wednesday-7th grade 4:30-6:00, 8th grade 6:00-7:30

Dress Down to Make a Difference- has been changed to Tuesday, February 14.  Students who bring $2 will be allowed to dress in a red or blue shirt with jeans.  

Basketball Games- Wednesday, February 15 at St. Jean Vianney- 6th grade at 5:45; 8th grade at 7:15. 

Spirit Dress Down Day-  February 15. Students may wear a spirit shirt with jeans and school shoes.  Please see the SES Handbook for complete dress down day guidelines.   

Snack Sale- Friday, February 17.  All items are $1.

Drama Play-  The Drama Club of St. Elizabeth School is excited to announce it's upcoming production "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs."  Adapted from the classic tale by the Brothers Grimm, it contains all our favorite familiar characters as well as some new ones.  Cast members have been preparing for three months to make this the most entertaining play of all!  Disney music, beautiful sets and costumes, and the great talent of our students will be enjoyed by all who support this wonderful St. Elizabeth tradition which is in its 30th year!  Please join us on Sunday, February 19, 2017 at 4pm in the St. Elizabeth Community Center.  Admission is $3.00 for all students and children and $5.00 for adults.  Refreshments will be sold.  A professional DVD of the play will be available for purchase for $30.

Cast member reminders:  Each drama students is expected to bring a batch of sweets for concessions and have one parent work the concession stand.  Cast members are to arrive in complete costume with make-up (blush, eyes, lips) by 3:15 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 19 to take yearbook pictures.

4th Grade Parent Breakfast- Tuesday, February 21 at 7:00am.  

Carnival - February 24. Students in grades PK3-7th grades may dress in costumes and compete in 3 different categories: Prettiest, Funniest, and Most Original.  They may compete as individuals or in groups.  They are separated into 3 divisions with PK3-K, 1-3, and 4-7 competing against each other.  

Mardi Gras Holidays- Monday, February 27-Friday, March 3.  Students return Monday, March 6.

SES Skeet Shoot- Saturday, March 18.  Sponsor and entry forms were sent home last week. 

Aftercare payments – Please be attentive to aftercare fees and submit payments in a timely fashion.

Breakfast in the cafeteria is from 7:10- 7:25 daily.  Please make sure your child arrives early enough if you want them to eat breakfast.
