Weekly Notes February 6, 2017

Carline Reminder - The bell rings at 7:30 a.m.  Expect to wait a few minutes in line if you arrive after 7:20.  Please give yourself enough time in the morning to have your children unloaded by the 7:30 bell when morning prayer begins. Thanks for your cooperation!

Registration Packets- for the 2017-18 school year were sent home last week.  Please contact the school if you have any questions.  

Prospective New Family Contact Information – Please send contact information for prospective new families for the 2017-18 school year.  Preparations are being made for recruitment events. There are only limited seats available in certain grades, so early registration is important!

Lunch Menu Change - Beginning Friday, February 3, the salad choice on Fridays will be tuna salad until further notice.  

Drama Practice- Monday, Thursday, and Friday-2:00-4:00

Volleyball Mandatory Registration Night- Monday, February 6 at 6:30 in the Community Center.  

Volleyball Practice- Tuesday-8th grade 2:00-4:00, Wednesday- 7th grade 2:00-4:30

Recruitment Open House- Tuesday, February 7 at 6:30 pm and Wednesday. February 8 at 8:30 am in the Community Center.  Please spread the word to prospective families!

Progress Reports- Issued Wednesday, February 8. 

Basketball Practice- 8th grade- Thursday-5:00-7:00.

Snack Sale- Friday, February 10.  All items are $1.

Basketball Games- Friday, February 10-Home vs. Most Blessed Sacrament- 6th at 6:00; 8th at 6:45. 

Spirit Dress Down Day- Changed from February 8 to February 15. Students may wear a spirit shirt with jeans and school shoes.  Please see the SES Handbook for complete dress down day guidelines.   

2017-18 Registration- February 13-20. 

Drama Play-  The Drama Club of St. Elizabeth School is excited to announce it's upcoming production "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs."  Adapted from the classic tale by the Brothers Grimm, it contains all our favorite familiar characters as well as some new ones.  Cast members have been preparing for three months to make this the most entertaining play of all!  Disney music, beautiful sets and costumes, and the great talent of our students will be enjoyed by all who support this wonderful St. Elizabeth tradition which is in its 30th year!  Please join us on Sunday, February 19, 2017 at 4pm in the St. Elizabeth Community Center.  Admission is $3.00 for all students and children and $5.00 for adults.  Refreshments will be sold. 

Carnival - February 24. Students in grades PK3-7th grades may dress in costumes and compete in 3 different categories: Prettiest, Funniest, and Most Original.  They may compete as individuals or in groups.  They are separated into 3 divisions with PK3-K, 1-3, and 4-7 competing against each other.  

Mardi Gras Holidays- Monday, February 27-Friday, March 3.  Students return Monday, March 6.

SES Skeet Shoot- Saturday, March 18.  Sponsor and entry forms were sent home last week. 

Aftercare payments – Please be attentive to aftercare fees and submit payments in a timely fashion.

Breakfast in the cafeteria is from 7:10- 7:25 daily.  Please make sure your child arrives early enough if you want them to eat breakfast.
