Thanks to all who donated on #givingTuesday to the #iGiveCatholic Campaign and those who mailed in to "Invest in SES"!  To date $8,465 has been generously given to SES to help close the gap between tuition income and the actual cost of educating our students.  These gifts will be used to keep tuition affordable for our parents. We are so blessed to have the confidence and support of our community!

Thanks to all who participated in the dress down days for the St. Elizabeth Food Pantry.  together we raised $1037.00 to be used to purchase hams for families for the Christmas season!!!

Thanks to the SES Home & School Association and all who helped make Breakfast with Santa a huge success!!  It was a great time for all.

Santa's Secret Shop - SES H&S will be hosting a Santa's Secret Shop Sale on Wednesday, December 7 for students.  Inexpensive Christmas gifts will be available for purchase by students for their families.  Presents will be sent home wrapped and ready to be put under the tree.  If you would like your child to attend the sale, send money in a labeled envelope.  


Prospective New Family Contact Information – Please send contact information for prospective new families for the 2017-18 school year.  Preparations are being made for recruitment events. There are only limited seats available in certain grades, so early registration is important!

Schedule Change- St. Elizabeth will not have school on January 6 because of roof repairs.  Students will return Monday, January 9.

The Winner-A-week Raffle winner for November 30 was 743.

Christmas Scrip Schedule– Get your Christmas shopping done at SES.  Your one stop gift card headquarters.  Only one more order before Christmas. Place your order on Monday, December 12 for delivery on Thursday, December 15.  Please contact the school office at 985-369-7402 for more information.

Girls Basketball Players- Please turn in clean Basketball uniforms by Friday, December 9. 

Drama Practice- Monday-Wednesday- 2:00-4:00.  

Basketball Practice- 5th Grade- Tuesday & Thursday- 4:15-6:00; 6th grade- Wednesday- 6:00-7:30

7th Grade Parent Breakfast- Tuesday, December 6.  Parents are invited to join us in the Prayer Garden following breakfast.

Spirit Dress Down Day– Wednesday, December 7.   Students may wear a spirit shirt with jeans, school shorts or skirts.  School shoes must be worn.  Please see the SES Handbook for complete dress down guidelines.  We have extra spirit shirts available to purchase in the office in youth sizes only.  The cost is $10 per shirt.

Immaculate Conception School Mass- Thursday, December 8 at 7:40am.

Science & Social Studies Fair– Friday, December 9.

Basketball Games- Friday, December 9- 6th Grade vs. St. Francis Xavier at 6:15 & 6th grade vs. St. Louis King of France at 6:45 at St. Louis King of France and 8th grade vs. St. Louis King of France at 7:30 at St. Louis King of France; Saturday, December 10-5th Grade vs. St. Theresa at Ascension Catholic at 9:45.

SES Christmas Service Project- Wednesday, December 14- SES will participate in the Annual Ben Meyer Toy Drive.  Students are asked to bring a new unwrapped toy which will be donated to the Annual Ben Meyer Toy Drive.  Students who bring a toy will be allowed to dress in comfortable clothes (sweatpants, jeans, shirt and shoes of choice are acceptable).

Dress Down to Make a DifferenceMoved to January 25.  All proceeds will go to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.  Students are allowed to wear “Dress Down Day” attire for a minimum donation of $2.00.  Please follow the rules stated in the handbook 4.4.7.  Dress Down Day Guidelines:

  1. Students who are allowed to participate in Dress Down Days should dress appropriately for school. This includes:
  2. No open shoes, platform shoes, sandals, slip on or boots. Shoes must be closed.
  3. Regulation socks must be worn.
  4. Usual rules for jewelry and makeup apply.
  5. Shirts must not advertise alcohol, tobacco, offensive language, rock groups, or music.
  6. No sleeveless shirts, tight-fitting pants, wind pants or sweatpants. Jeans must not be tight fitting or too baggy or have holes in them. Wide bottom and low-waist pants are inappropriate. Pants must be worn at the waist.
  7. No other inappropriate clothing is allowed. Clothing must completely cover the student’s torso. No skin should be seen between shirt and pants.
  8. Only uniform shorts are allowed. No other shorts may be worn. All pants must come to the ankle.
  9. Belts must be worn if pants have belt loops.

Christmas Memorials Mass– Friday, December 16. A gift to the St. Elizabeth School Memorial Fund lives on in the service of others.  To send a memorial gift, simply fill out the form sent home with students and return it to school with your child or mail your gift to St. Elizabeth School, P.O. Drawer M, Paincourtville, LA 70391. Please make checks payable to St. Elizabeth School Memorial Fund. We will have an Advent Prayer Service in honor of your loved ones on Friday, December 16, 2016 at 7:40 a.m.Mass in St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. Please join us.

2nd Nine Weeks Exams– Monday, December 19- Social Studies & English, Tuesday, December 20- Math & Religion, Wednesday, December 21- Science & Reading.

Last day to test for AR– Wednesday, December 21.

Christmas Nativity, Christmas Play and Class Parties- Thursday, December 22.

Christmas Holidays- Friday, December 23-Friday, January 6.  Students return Monday, January 9.

Aftercare payments – Please be attentive to aftercare fees and submit payments in a timely fashion.

Breakfast in the cafeteria is from 7:10- 7:25 daily.  Please make sure your child arrives early enough if you want them to eat breakfast.
