Prospective New Family Contact Information – Please send contact information for prospective new families for the 2017-18 school year.  Preparations are being made for recruitment events. There are only limited seats available in certain grades, so early registration is important!

Schedule Change- St. Elizabeth will not have school on January 6 because of roof repairs.  Students will return Monday, January 9.

The Winner-A-week Raffle winner for November 16 was 086.

Christmas Scrip Schedule– Get your Christmas shopping done at SES.  Your one stop gift card headquarters.  Scrip orders will be placed weekly from November 28-December 12.  Please contact the school office at 985-369-7402 for more information.

Drama Practice- Monday-Thursday- 2:00-4:00.  Calendars were given to all drama members with the practice schedule.

Basketball Practice- 8th Grade- Tuesday & Wednesday- 5:30-7:30; 6th Grade- Thursday-6:00-7:30

Dress Down to Make a Difference– Wednesday, November 30. All proceeds will go to the St. Elizabeth Food Pantry.  Students are allowed to wear “Dress Down Day” attire for a minimum donation of $2.00.  Please follow the rules stated in the handbook 4.4.7.  Dress Down Day Guidelines:

  1. Students who are allowed to participate in Dress Down Days should dress appropriately for school. This includes:
  2. No open shoes, platform shoes, sandals, slip on or boots. Shoes must be closed.
  3. Regulation socks must be worn.
  4. Usual rules for jewelry and makeup apply.
  5. Shirts must not advertise alcohol, tobacco, offensive language, rock groups, or music.
  6. No sleeveless shirts, tight-fitting pants, wind pants or sweatpants. Jeans must not be tight fitting or too baggy or have holes in them. Wide bottom and low-waist pants are inappropriate. Pants must be worn at the waist.
  7. No other inappropriate clothing is allowed. Clothing must completely cover the student’s torso. No skin should be seen between shirt and pants.
  8. Only uniform shorts are allowed. No other shorts may be worn. All pants must come to the ankle.
  9. Belts must be worn if pants have belt loops.

1st Friday/ Mission Collection- Friday, December 2

Breakfast with Santa-Saturday, December 3. 8:00-11:00am in the Community Center.  Admission: $5 per person, anyone under the age of 2 will be free.  Breakfast will be served. Picture Packages with Santa will be available.  If anyone would like to volunteer to help please contact the school office at 985-369-7402.

7th Grade Parent Breakfast- Tuesday, December 6.  Parents are invited to join us in the Prayer Garden following breakfast.

Spirit Dress Down Day– Wednesday, December 7.   Students may wear a spirit shirt with jeans, school shorts or skirts.  School shoes must be worn.  Please see the SES Handbook for complete dress down guidelines.  We have extra spirit shirts available to purchase in the office in youth sizes only.  The cost is $10 per shirt.

Immaculate Conception School Mass- Thursday, December 8 at 7:40am.

Science & Social Studies Fair– Friday, December 9.

Dress Down to Make a Difference– Wednesday, December 14.  All proceeds will go to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

Christmas Memorials Mass– Friday, December 16. A gift to the St. Elizabeth School Memorial Fund lives on in the service of others.  To send a memorial gift, simply fill out the form sent home with students and return it to school with your child or mail your gift to St. Elizabeth School, P.O. Drawer M, Paincourtville, LA 70391. Please make checks payable to St. Elizabeth School Memorial Fund. We will have an Advent Prayer Service in honor of your loved ones on Friday, December 16, 2016 at 7:40 a.m.Mass in St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. Please join us.

2nd Nine Weeks Exams– Monday, December 19- Social Studies & English, Tuesday, December 20- Math & Religion, Wednesday, December 21- Science & Reading.

Last day to test for AR– Wednesday, December 21.

Christmas Nativity, Christmas Play and Class Parties- Thursday, December 22.

Christmas Holidays- Friday, December 23-Friday, January 6.  Students return Monday, January 9.

Aftercare payments – Please be attentive to aftercare fees and submit payments in a timely fashion.

Breakfast in the cafeteria is from 7:10- 7:25 daily.  Please make sure your child arrives early enough if you want them to eat breakfast.
